Sly One

Wow. The last few months have been the busiest of mine and Jurrane's short careers, having produced no less than five remixes and original tracks since May. We've been working with our friends at Recoverworld (Discover/Discover Dark), top US DJ Nicholas Bennison's label Propulsion, Jon O'Bir and Rob Stevenson (Activa)'s label Conspiracy and Perceptive records to deliver our big release push for this summer.

The big news is, of course, our forthcoming original, Second Summer on Discover Digital. We're particularly excited about the mix of styles we are now showing, and this release is a case in point - a double A side featuring both anthemic trance and thundering tech.

And now it's time for a rest - the Sly One Studio is getting moved to a new building, there's new kit to buy, and we'll be back in a few months with more! See you out there this summer!

It's all go at the moment!

Somehow I'm managing to keep things moving on the production front despite only being at home for 3 nights out of 7.  My new track, You, has been receiving an amazing response and release plans are hotting up.  In the meantime, Jurrane and I completed our remix of Trancience - Trial By Fire before Christmas and were gratified to see it as Agnelli & Nelson's tune of the week shortly after!  Release is forthcoming - in the meantime it's being hammered by the big names: A&G themselves, John O’Callaghan, Jon O’Bir, Stoneface & Terminal, Neal Scarborough, Adam White...

In the meantime, after a well-deserved break, Planet Angel is back this month with a bang and a big new 1200-capacity venue (onward and upward!) and I'm looking forward to a peaktime set right before Cern's incredible live show.  Is about time you made it along? :)

As if that wasn't enough, I've been spending weekends recording with Crossfader, conducting photoshoots and recording!

Yet again another apology to everyone for not having updated the website in a stupidly long time!  I've been run off my feet recently with my day job, but haven't been resting on my laurels, with the Sly One vs Jurrane remixes of Ground Control - Then & Now and Orchid Star - Passion having hit the public with support from a bevy of big names including Above & Beyond and John O'Callaghan.

Jim (Jurrane) and I are hard at work on a new original track and a remix due for release in December.  I've also been trying my solo hand at the progressive/electro sound and am really pleased with the results; I'm currently approaching labels so we'll see how that one goes! 

Sly One Studios have also had a revamp, with a massive new investment in gear and acoustic treatment, and I've been spending some time getting to grips with some new synths.

Finally, big news is that I'll be playing at Planet Angel's first ever all night New Year's Eve event this year.  This is going to be an utterly unbelievable event, so get your tickets in early.

Right, back to work!
