It's new mix time (well actually it's long overdue, but I've been busy, honest). This one is a much more progressive journey than usual, simply because I happen to have obtained a lot of really great prog in the last month.

As usual, this is a promo mix! It is intended not just to promote what I do, but also the music of the talented musicians involved. Please support the artists! This latest mix is a kind of distillation of a memorable 3-hour set I played last month, consisting almost entirely of newly obtained tunes, with a couple of greats from the last few months thrown in.  I had more than I could possibly cram into 80 minutes - a testament to the sheer quality and originality of the music that's out there at the moment.

I was asked by Planet Angel this month to put together a (very!) short, 20 minute mix to get everyone in the mood in advance of the monthly club event. I've tried as best I can to sum up 8 hours of partying in the Meltdown Room in 20 minutes, and have picked up some of the tracks that have really summed up the party in the last year or so.

This latest mix represents a bit of a "back to basics" mission - and reflects the kind of trance that's been coming out recently. Straight, no nonsense, big sounds for big rooms.  I figure you've got to get these sort of ridiculous sets out of your system once in a while, and I trialled something like this set at Planet Angel.  It was manic.

Euphorasm Volume 1 was produced during a massive drought of good trance in early 2003 (just before the glut of fantastic new tunes that have appeared in the last year or so). I set out to create a CD of the really uplifting, progressive, euphoric trance that typified my early days of clubbing.
