This latest mix is a kind of distillation of a memorable 3-hour set I played last month, consisting almost entirely of newly obtained tunes, with a couple of greats from the last few months thrown in. I had more than I could possibly cram into 80 minutes – a testament to the sheer quality and originality of the music that’s out there at the moment.

I was asked by Planet Angel this month to put together a (very!) short, 20 minute mix to get everyone in the mood in advance of the monthly club event. This latest mix represents a bit of a “back to basics” mission – and reflects the kind of trance that’s been coming out recently. Straight, no nonsense, big sounds for big rooms.  I figure you’ve got to get these sort of ridiculous sets out of your system once in a while, and I trialled something like this set at Planet Angel.  It was manic.

Euphorasm Volume 1 was produced during a massive drought of good trance in early 2003 (just before the glut of fantastic new tunes that have appeared in the last year or so). I set out to create a CD of the really uplifting, progressive, euphoric trance that typified my early days of clubbing.
