About
Sly One (aka Graham Crockford) is a progressive and trance DJ and producer, currently signed exclusively to Discover records.
He is best known for his collaborative production work with Jurrane under the name Sly One vs Jurrane, a powerhouse of a production partnership that has seen sustained support from all the biggest names in the trance world, including Armin van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Above & Beyond, Ferry Corsten, Ali & Fila, John O’Callaghan, John “00″ Fleming, Eddie Halliwell, John Askew, Judge Jules, Dave Pearce, Agnelli & Nelson, Neal Scarborough, Thrillseekers, Jon O’Bir, Andy Bagguley, Marc West, Manuel Le Saux, Ian Betts, Niklas Harding and many, many more. Like their debut track, Timebomb, which brought them to the world’s attention in 2007, these guys are set to explode.

London clubbers, though, will know Sly One best for his long-standing DJ residency at London’s Planet Angel club events, a 10-year clubbing phenomenon that attracts some of the biggest crowds in the UK capital despite never having whispered a single word of advertising, never printed a flyer or a poster, and never published its date or location.

Background
Sly One’s first release was the self-released Gamma Storm vinyl (Magic Beans Records 2004); a minor classic of its time which brought him to the attention of A-lister John “00″ Fleming and then gained massive support from DJs such as then-Godskitchen resident Jon O’Bir, despite having been released with no record label support in a time when releasing music was extremely expensive.

He then took a bit of time away from trance production, with a brief dabble in hard dance with House of Muzik (2005), before starting working with his friend of several years, Jurrane, on a collaboration in 2007 – the track that became Timebomb, and got Sly One vs Jurrane signed to Discover records. Since then, the partnership has absorbed almost all Sly One’s production time, except for one single, This Late Stage, in 2009, which spent months on Armin Van Buuren’s playlists and was one of the undisputed classics of the year.
Sly One also engineers for other dance producers, provides services as a mix engineer from time-to-time, has composed for film and still found the time to co-found and play in the band Crossfader on keyboards and guitars, (handling production duties at the same time!) until it disbanded in late 2008.
He sleeps as little as possible, twitters when he finds the time, can talk about music without hesitation, repetition or deviation from the subject for several hours at a time, owns a depressingly messy studio that never gets hoovered, and lives with his girlfriend and cat in London.
