April 2009 Update

25 Apr/09 0

Er… OK, so that’s an unacceptable delay! Sorry about the radio silence everyone! Sly and Jurrane have been in the studio working on a load of new material for the last six months, and not much else! Big news:

  • You can catch Sly & Jurrane DJing back-to-back in an extra special closing set at Chemistry @ Club Colosseum in London this weekend… late tickets should still be available!
  • The Sly One vs Jurrane remix of Ehren Stowers & Andy Young’s Ocean is out very shortly on Perceptive records. The boys have delivered a massive trance anthem that has been tearing the roof of their residency at London’s Planet Angel for the last two months, and the early support has been incredible. Watch out for the effect this one has out there! [Edited 02/05/09 - the track's working title of Lost On Earth has been changed to Ocean for the official release.]
  • This Late Stage EP, Sly One’s first solo release since House of Muzik is due out this year on Discover, featuring the tracks This Late Stage and You, showing two distinct sides to Sly One’s sound: lush uplifting trance and thumping progressive grooves. The buzz around this release is hard to express in words, but watch out there for a very special remix of This Late Stage from a household Trance name, coming soon. In the meantime the tracks are both being hammered by Sly One, Jurrane and Discover A&R man John Askew, so look out for those live sets!
  • Also on its way is Sly One & Jurrane’s EP for Discover, featuring both sides of their split producer personalities: their utterly unique pounding tech-trance sound and rip-roaring uplifting trance. The finishing touches are still being made to this release, but we’re all really excited about the impact these tracks will have out there.
  • Finally (and shamefully), it’s already out and we never let you know! Johan Ekman – Shade of Your Soul (Sly One vs Jurrane Remix) is out now on Discover Dark records. It’s pounding, it’s dirty, it’s a little bit rude and it’s seen support from Paul Van Dyk and all the other supporters out there of the mad Sly One vs Jurrane tech sound. We promise to let you know in good time next time!
